Sunrise Solutions is not just a Temporary Work Agency. We are an Ethical Labour Provider specialising in providing non-skilled, semi-skilled and skilled workers on fixed term contracts to UK businesses that are facing problems sourcing employees who are reliable, hard-working and looking for long-term work.
Most of the jobs on the Jobs Page (Jobs tab on the menu bar) are 6 month Fixed Term Contracts that start as temporary employment but will probably become permanent should you be the right sort of worker the Client requires. Obviously, the absolute minimum time you are contracted to work is six months so you must be in a position to work for at least this length of time. If you apply for a job, you will be interviewed and all relevant details checked. If you are over-seas, this will occur at our associate offices. If English language is required, this will be verified as will your references and passport etc. In all cases, candidates will be Police Checked for criminal history. At the same time you will be shown the Job Description sheet so you will know exactly the duties expected of you by the Client.
If accepted for the job, you will be shown the Employee's Contract of Employment. This is issued by Sunrise Solutions who are your employer until you are hopefully employed permanently by the Client. As with all of the paperwork, read this very carefully before signing. It is a standard document covering your rights whilst working for Sunrise Solutions, setting out pay, holiday entitlement and absence notification etc but also describes rules to which you must follow during your employment by Sunrise Solutions.
At no time will you be charged a fee for working for us, for administration, for finding you work or any other reason. Avoid any Agency or Labour Provider that does this.
However, you will need approximately £250 (minimum) to cover your accommodation bond, rent and living expenses. This should be sufficient until you are paid. You must understand that a landlord will require a bond on the property, payable as you move in. If you work, for example from Monday to Friday, you will be paid the following Friday so you must also have sufficient money to pay for food etc until then.
You need to find accommodation as close to your work place as possible or in such a position as to benefit from public transport. If you are having problems, we can supply a list of places to stay with advice for transport etc but you will need to form your own private agreement with the Landlord. We do not supply accommodation; avoid any Agency or Labour Provider that does this.
If you are flying in from over-seas, you will be advised which flight to get and if necessary, this will be coordinated with the free pick-up service. You will be instructed how to open a bank account and how to apply for a National Insurance Number. If you are working within a unionised site, we strongly advise you to benefit from this. Sunrise Solutions has agreements with the Transport and General Workers Union (TGWU) now Unite Union and the Bakers Food and Allied Workers Union (BFAWU). Union subscription may be deducted from your pay-slip. These will be the only deductions and are to be signed for to show agreement. Avoid any Agency or Labour Provider that deducts other amounts from your pay-slip.
Before starting your job you will be introduced to the Client and undergo any induction process. This will make you aware of Health and Safety issues and workplace practices. Once working, you will be expected to carry out all reasonable requests and follow the rules. If you are worried about anything or do not agree with any requests you must contact Sunrise Solutions or, if applicable, consult your Union Representative. This is very important. You must not leave your workplace without prior notice or consultation under any circumstances. This will put at risk your Contract and those of your work colleagues.
The Client will send Sunrise Solutions your time sheet each week. Sunrise Solutions use this information to pay you weekly for the preceding week. You will receive a pay-slip each week that shows your name and address, National Insurance Number, pay rate, tax deductions and other deductions. If you think there is a problem with your pay, contact Sunrise Solutions immediately and we will be happy to promptly sort any problem out. If you would like to research taxable amounts before you arrive in the country, go to www.e-gismos.com/ukpay.asp to calculate approximate tax amounts or for advice go to www.hmrc.gov.uk.
If you work successfully for the Client, at the end of the Fixed Term Contract the Client will probably employ you directly or ask Sunrise to extend your Contact until they are in a position to employ you. For your transfer, we will look after the paperwork and liaise with your new employer. You will be required to sign your new employer's Employment Contract and if applicable, Union subscription deductions will need to be arranged.
